My H

I just referenced “my H” in my last post.
After last night, I think H deserves a post all her own.
I think everyone has an H, or at least I hope you do…perhaps many at different points in your life…right when you need them.
Perhaps this is the beginning of gratitude posts about all the amazing people in my life…there are many.
I am a lucky girl surrounded in a wonderful way.
But H? Well, this is just a good story.
Ever have anyone show up out of the blue?
Right when you need them and you didn’t even know you needed them?
With so much in common and you never would have guessed?
Yep.
H showed up and walked with me through the cold.
We talked…a lot…about life and whatnot…silly stuff…food…FOOD…whatever.
She has kind of been my rememberer…helped me remember all sorts of things I love – this is the year for that.
Last night was one of my favorite rememberings – playing in the rain!!!!
I played in the rain when I was little…threw a football around with a boy I just adored in high school…rode bikes through the rain with a friend in college in a white tshirt (I know!), and now…again…I went out into the pouring rain with my H and her kids and my kids at 9:30 at night in our little place in the world who set the fireworks off anyway.
It was so fun…so so fun.
Rain just washes the pissy right away and brings this joy…pure joy.
I love water.
That is probably another post.
Thanks H.
