Typically, I float around from one thing to the next really lucky to accomplish task completion. I call it my adult onset A.D.D.. All my years in the classroom heavily relying upon my ability to go in 7 directions at the same time did not help me in this way AT ALL. In a room full of people it is VERY hard for me to focus on just one conversation. Having said all this, I think it is such a contradiction and quite strange the way I can fixate on certain things in a very complete sort of way…
When I decide to purchase the wrong kind of car (see entry on poor car purchases), most times I pour over research to see which might be the best of the poor choices I am pondering…within the #1 poor choice what the design changes were from year to year so I know if it is really worth bumping up a year newer for those fun blue backlights on the dash – this sort of thing…it strikes me as so odd that I can see this all the way through.
I do the same thing when I decide I need to know all there is to know about a particular product. My latest deal has been liquid supplements. It all started at the hair salon when I was listening in on the conversation beside me. This woman was raving about something that made her feel so great. Don’t you know when she got up to leave, I did indeed stop her and admit my happening to overhear her entire conversation and just what was this product. Well, it turns out she was talking about Mona Vie and by the way she happened to be a distributor and wouldn’t I like to come out to her car and try a sample she kept in a cooler for such situations! It was a bit odd, but you know I did try it and it was like a sweet merlot with a sweet price tag of $30 per bottle and the bottle will last you ONE WEEK! Why I thought I should try this I’m not sure. I don’t usually spend $30 a week on vitamins. She really wanted me to be a distributer, under her (can you smell pyramid???) which I’m not really interested in beyond a discount. I’m not a salesperson (although I do happen to mention my favorite things from Costco a lot – they should pay me!!). I did end up buying a bottle from her which I happened to notice made my skin just glow and I really didn’t feel like drinking diet coke (and I LOVE diet coke). So, awhile after that bottle and several phone calls to see if I was ready to buy more…I decided to peek on ebay and see if I found Mona Vie. Friends, I found Mona Vie as far as the fingers would care to scroll! I bid and ended up getting a case which is 4 bottles for about $20 each. This was okay. Eventually that well ran dry, so I had to make a decision…I decided to try several different brands and see which I noticed the most difference with and price compare, etc and so forth. Next up was Fruit a Vie, the Costco knock off. It was $16 a bottle or so. Right away I noticed the taste was just not the same. I didn’t feel the same benefits I did with my Mona Vie, so I say nuts to the knock off. Currently I am trying another deal I found at Costco. It is called Liquimax Complete Nutrition and was $12.99 for a bottle which lasts a whole month. So far so good. I don’t really feel like the Diet Cokes anymore and my skin is looking quite nice, so perhaps we have a new favorite. The taste is kinda blah and if it gets on my fingers the smell is ewwww, but not a deal breaker. After this month I have Vemma waiting in the wings. My aunt sells it and swears by the stuff. I will try it but am a bit leary as she said the cheapest price even if you sell it is $73.00 a month. A bit steep I think. Some doctors say this just creates expensive, colored urine. Do you concur? I like to think not.
I’m pretty sure that’s all I have on the liquid supplement front…
cheers!!

Hi,
I’m glad that you seemed to have good benefits from the Mona-Vie, although I am sorry had it pressed on you the it was. I know that most people are taken aback by the price of the product, but they don’t take into consideration that the price covers things like the fact that all the fruit in the bottle is grown wild or organic and hand picked, that each bottle feeds a child for a week in Brazil and that the company decided that it would rather pay it’s distributors to share the product instead of overhead and ad agencies. As you mentioned, Costco or no other business will pay you for sharing their products or services with others, which we ALL do anyway, right?
The MV gave me my husband back by taking away his pain that he had from an auto accident. It is the only thing different we have done and it has changed so many things for me as well. Believe me, we tried to match the ingredients to get it cheaper because we did not want to pay the price, but we found NOTHING that compares to it. I have friends who have been drinking it WITHOUT working the business for 2 and 3 years and I’m sorry but people don’t pay that kind of money for that long for something that doesn’t work.
I am telling you all this because even with the cost, the company makes it very easy to get it for free just by doing what we always do, sharing a good thing with friends and family. If you didn’t give the product a full month then you didn’t get the full effect of the product which truly makes it worth the $4.50/day it costs you, which most people blow more than that on junk food and coffee everyday.
Now whether or not you decide to truly give MV a real shot makes no difference to me because you wouldn’t be getting it from me, or through me, I just believe so much in this product that I want everyone to on it! I don’t introduce the business side of it to people until after they have tried the juice and feel that it is doing good for them, unless they ask more about it. For me, it’s all about the product. No I don’t sell it. I won’t make anyone pay retail for it, I do sign them up to get it wholesale but they can get out anytime they want as there is NO obligation or contracts!!
Anyway, thanks for letting me share my opinion, I wish you the best of luck on your health journey no matter where that takes you!! God Bless!
